Two of Manhattan Beach's best events are happening this weekend, the 42nd Annual Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair and the MB 10K, both time-honored traditions that bring the community out for some fun and fundraising!

To capture some of those events' finest moments, DigMB.com is pleased to hold our first digital photo contest, with great prizes from Fresh Brothers Pizza, Simms Restaurants (Manhattan Beach Post, Tin Roof Bistro and Simmzy's), The Original Rinaldi's Manhattan Beach, and Cake Bake Shop.

Prizes from these sponsors will be awarded to the top 3 submissions in each of our three contest categories:

• Cutest Photo
• Best Fair Scene/Spirit
• Best Action Shot

There is so much going on at the run on Saturday and the fair both days, we're sure you can find all sorts of moments to capture that fit into our categories!

Your submissions will be judged by our three-judge panel who will determine the top 3 photos in each category. All remaining prizes will be given away via random drawings from the submission pool.

All photo entries should be submitted as image attachments by 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6 via email to [email protected]. Please put DigMB PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY in the email subject line, and limit your submissions to 3 photos per category. Be sure to include the category you are submitting for along with your full name, your phone number and a description of your photo, including time, place and equipment used, as possible.

Photos will be posted on DigMB.com.
