Rock & Gems Jewelry, the fine jewelry line founded by Manhattan Beach designer Sig Ward, will hold a trunk show at Trilogy Spa this Thursday, Sept. 24, to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The trunk show, to be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m on the Trilogy Spa roof deck, will feature Ward's latest designs in necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has a special personal meaning for her family, said Ward.

"Five years ago my son had a surfing accident that landed him at the pediatric ICU for four days. While I knew that our time there was short, I saw many kids who were there for the long haul, some receiving chemo during the day without their parents around. They had to be so brave while their family was at work, school, or wherever. It was very hard to watch," Ward said. "So, when I was approached to help with this project that grants wishes for kids battling serious disease, it was a no-brainer."

Ward said that she was recruited by friends Jennifer Ozar and Karina Kraines, who are the fundraisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Greater Los Angeles chapter through their Halloween Monster Ball fundraising event.

Ward continued: "I believe in giving back, and together with [Trilogy Spa owner] Chandra Shaw, who lost her brother to cancer, thought that the magical Trilogy Spa roof top deck would be a beautiful and special venue for this important event."

Ward's Rock & Gems Jewelry features high-end pieces that are influenced by art, architecture, fashion, and nature, Having grown up in Tel Aviv and lived on the Mediterranean coast, Ward incorporates many different elements to create her unique and organic designs.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation works with volunteers, donors, and supporters to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. In the United States and its territories, on average, the foundation grants a wish every 37 minutes.
