Manhattan Beach Announces Schedules, Closures for Holiday Week

The holiday schedule for city services is as follows:
City Offices: Closed Friday, December 24 and Friday, December 31.
Emergency services: Regular service
Joslyn and Manhattan Heights Community Centers: Closed Friday, December 24 through Sunday, December 26.
Tennis/Pickleball/Paddleball Courts: Friday, December 24: Open for reservations; Saturday, December 25: Drop-in only 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, December 26: Open for reservations
Sand Dune: Friday, December 24: Open for reservations; Saturday, December 25: Closed; Sunday, December 26: Open for family use
Begg Pool: Closed December 25, 2021, through January 2, 2022
Construction: Construction is NOT allowed Saturday, December 25, and Sundays (year-round)
Street Sweeping: Street sweeping parking restrictions
will not be enforced Thursday, December 23 and Friday, December 24.
There will be no street sweeping on Saturday, December 25 and the
service will not be made up. Street Sweeping parking enforcement will
resume on Monday, December 27.
Residential Refuse Collection: No changes will be made to the residential collection schedule; all collection routes will operate as usual.
Holiday Tree Recycling
Between December
27, 2021, and January 7, 2022, place your holiday trees next to your
carts/bins by 7:00 AM on refuse collection day for free pick up and
recycling.
- Trees must be no taller than 7 feet long (or cut the tree into 7-foot sections)
- Please remove all decorations including tinsel, lights, ornaments, and tree stands
- Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled
Holiday Light Recycling
Holiday lights can be recycled through the city’s e-waste recycling
program. Call Waste Management at (310) 830-7100 to schedule an e-waste
pick up on collection day.
Additional Material Collection
Place bags of additional trash, recycling or organic waste (no bulky
items) next to your respective carts on refuse collection day only from
December 27, 2021, through January 7,
2022.
While City Hall is closed, assistance in city services may be obtained via the online FAQ database or the online Service Request system.
