Your ice-cold summer beer just got a little more local: Gelson's Market has rolled out a new hyper-local collaboration with El Segundo Brewing Company to bring Gelson's Summer Blonde Ale to its Manhattan Beach store and other Gelson's locations.

Gelson's Summer Blonde Ale, only poured on tap at Gelson's, is crafted with an ABV of 5.0% and is made with 100% Tettnanger hops, contributing to subtle floral and herbal spice notes. It is available exclusively on tap at the Wine and Craft Beer Bar.

The malt profile, featuring Rahr 2-Row, Rahr Premium Pilsner, Flaked Corn, and Dextrin malt, creates a balance of doughy sweetness, white bread, cake batter, and honey. The result is a beer that strikes a balance between maltiness and bitterness, making it a good choice for those who appreciate a firm malt base without the intensity of an IPA. It pairs well with freshly rolled sushi, poke, and other summer dishes served on the wine bar menus.

The beer is available at all Gelson's wine bars across Southern California, including stores in Calabasas, Century City, Dana Point, Hollywood, Irvine, La Costa/Carlsbad, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Mirage, Rancho Mission Viejo, Silver Lake, Valley Village/North Hollywood, Westlake Village, and West Los Angeles.

Gelson's is a collection of premium food and beverage markets with 27 locations throughout Southern California. The Manhattan Beach location opened in 2018. Gelson's Wine and Craft Beer bar is open from noon until 8:30 p.m. daily.
