Manhattan Beach's 6th annual Community Art Exhibition is set to open on Friday, July 28 at the Manhattan Beach Art Center. 

The exhibit will feature artwork in a wide range of mediums from 82 local artists.

An opening reception will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with refreshments and full access to the exhibit. The exhibit - and the reception - are free and open to all.

The exhibit will be on display from July 28 to October 8. The gallery is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).

The exhibition is a popular annual event hosted by the Manhattan Beach Department of Parks and Recreation's Cultural Arts Division.

This year, the exhibit organizers received a total of 217 submissions from across town, according to Eric Brinkman, the city's Cultural Arts supervisor.
